Great Update!

Awesome update... ledger lines work great now and they go much further... i like the horizontal view much more as well.. beautiful new look to it now too... right down to the "default" pic :) nice touch with the colored stars floating around on the menu now its definitely worth the $4

Would be great if there were no bugs

Just what I was looking for. Im just bummed about some of the bugs it has: does not maintain settings between sessions, does not retain scores between sessions, once the settings screen got locked in a wrong 90degree orientation, suuuuuper long times between options screen and main menu. Im running the lates Ipod thouch OS. with fixes Id give a strong 4 stars. As it is 2.

Good, but...

I liked this ap, but the latest update made it stop working properly! I like the new features, but the ap keeps randomly shutting down and glitching out. Fix them and come out with a new update and this will soon again be my favorite ap!

Best out there

This is the best app out there that Ive found so far to memorize note locations on the piano. I like some of the stuff in the new update: horizontal, fixed staff lines, more. I like how you can create your own range of notes to test yourself on too. The only downside is that the new update makes the app feel slow and bogged down when navigating through the menus - and seem they seem less iPhone-like (liked the old menus better). -------- Problems with it not saving custom levels talked about below were fixed in the last version. This is one of my most used apps. Love it.

Pretty Cool

Has helped me gain proficiency at recognizing notes on the staff--nuff said. Do it a little every day. That said, I wish the success notification bar wouldnt obscure the high notes. And the "random" generator is repetitive and--if you play a lot--somewhat predictable. Still, this app is one of my most-used long term.

Pretty nice app

Works well, already noticed improvement in reading bass clef.

best app out there for note memorization

Ive tried several similar apps I like this one the best it has a few clunky issues as addressed by others but it works

Very Effective!

There need to be more helpful apps like this one.

Great for all ages

No frills and unnecessary bells & whistles here. Just simple and extremely effective.

You just lost my great feedback because my name was used.

Nice App

Straightforward, clean & clear graphics, does just what its supposed to do. Definitely improves your note-recognition skills rapidly. The only real shortfall is that the patterns do become a bit familiar after a while (which defeats the purpose to some degree). Could use more randomness or additional sequences (truly random would be best).

A Sharp!

Very well put together. Havent played since high school, so this really helps in learning both treble and bass clefs.

Great app!

Works exactly as advertised. Hard to put down once you get started. Great job!

Good one

Looks like it really works!

Simply the best

This is the best note trainer in the market for the beginner and novice learner. It has trained my "note to hand" excecusion to levels that I did not expect to reach in such a short time. Highly recomended!

I dont agree

Theres something about how the keyboard just shows one octave and yet the notes your iding range many octaves that doesnt jive with me. So, c5, say, has the same answer as c2. The sharps and flats also annoy me because, while technically e flat and d sharp are the same, e flat is generally favored. Yet both are equal here. The whole addition of making your own modes is so-so too. Seems cumbersome to me not just to be able to train on bass clef or whatever.

Almost.

I love this app. I have been able to speed up my site reading dramatically. My only want, well maybe two, would be to have an option to play on the grand staff, and maybe an idea for the future would to see if you could integrate a tuner into the game so that an instrument could be used to pick the answer. Just an idea. Other than that, Iove it.

Good way to stay in shape

Nice little app for those of us who dont read music often to stay in shape.

LOVE IT!

Ive been using it since... And it really shows progress. Id really recommend it if you wanna improve your reading skills.

Two weeks

I am a beginner piano student (not even a player at this point, though Im working at it). I learn the notes of G and F clefs in two weeks! Im amazed.
